On the Pond with Dick and Jane

Dick and Jane realize they need help

This picture doesn’t do Dick and Jane’s predicament justice. It would take most the afternoon to clear a hole wide enough to get the truck parked in its usual place in front of the house and beside Mini Me, a nineteen-foot Chaparral bow rider.

It wasn’t the first time a tree had fallen across the road, and it wouldn’t be the last time. However, each time it became more apparent that the couple needed help with storm-damaged or bug-infested trees. A retirement of cleaning up after every weather event would keep them occupied for an eternity.

Jane had already convinced Dick that they needed a John Deere Gator to ride around the property. Now, Dick needed to convince Jane they needed a tractor, even though he wasn’t sure if it would be considered an over-the-top solution.

All it took was one grapple full of cut branches to land in the bonfire pit in two minutes time for Jane to understand the value of Tractor.

After that it wasn’t hard for Dick and Jane to take the next step to do something more with the fallen trees than splitting them into firewood. After a month of YouTube research, they took off work to train on the new Wood-Mizer LT35 sawmill they’d just bought, took it home, and started sharing their adventures with you folks. Delivery Day
